Eleusian Festival Coinage was minted under the Central Authority of Athens. The images pertain not to Eleusis, but to the Myth (as Triptolemos) and ritual paraphernalia (sacrificial piglet and staff of bound myrtle boughs) of the Greater Mysteries of Eleusis.
